About Us

Our philosophy at Kinder Haus Pediatrics is to provide excellent evidence-based healthcare with focus on preventive medicine. We believe in compassionate care and pride ourselves on the relationships that we develop with families over time. While there are many facilities providing excellent healthcare in this area, the benefit of a small privately owned practice is the comfort of seeing the same knowledgeable healthcare team at every visit.

Dr. Amy Garcia is a board certified pediatrician with the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Garcia is originally from Louisiana where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Louisiana State University of Shreveport. She completed a Medical Degree at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2007 and a residency in Pediatrics with the US Air Force at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio in 2010.

M. Suzanne Basey MD is board certified in Pediatrics and has been practicing medicine in the San Antonio area for almost 24 years. She was raised in San Antonio and now lives in the Texas Hill Country. She attended St Mary’s University in San Antonio for her undergraduate degree and completed Medical School and Residency at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, now McGovern Medical School.

She and her husband have 4 daughters and a rescue dog named Bailey. In her spare time you can find her traveling across Texas for her youngest’s dance competitions (she always has a video to share) or visiting her girls in college and watching some Aggie football!

After a brief hiatus, she is overjoyed to be practicing once again with Dr Amy Garcia and very excited to be a part of the Kinder Haus family.

Jandee Stidom, CPNP-PC is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has joined our practice as of Sept 2022. Jandee is originally from Arlington, TX. She attended University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for her undergraduate nursing degree and completed her Nurse Practitioner/Masters in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over thirteen years of pediatric experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Jandee has 4 children and 2 dogs. On her spare time, she enjoys puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. We are excited to have Jandee join our team! She is accepting new patients and is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Hernandez is a board-certified pediatrician and has been in private practice since 2017. She attended Texas A&M International University in Laredo where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Hernandez completed her medical degree and pediatric resident training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Hernandez will be in our New Braunfels location.

In her free time, Dr. Hernandez loves camping, going to concerts with her husband, and spending time in the garden with her 2 kids.

Dr. Jennifer Welty is a board-certified pediatrician and has been practicing pediatrics for 11 years. She received a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Mary’s University and her medical degree from UT Health Science Center San Antonio. She completed her Pediatric Residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Dr. Welty proudly served in the US Army for 7 years. Dr. Welty will be providing care in our New Braunfels office.

Dr. Welty is married with four children and one grandchild. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, serving at her church, reading, and traveling.

Tiffany is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP). She received her B.S. in Nursing from Hardin-Simmons University and her Masters degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Tiffany was an inpatient pediatric nurse for 9 years and a pediatric emergency room nurse for 7 years prior to returning to school to receive her advanced degree. She has now been practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner for 7 years.

Tiffany is married with three boys. When not working, Tiffany loves reading, working out, and spending time with her family. She especially loves watching her boys play football.
